Would you get a medical abortion if you were in danger?

Question

If your doctor said there is a 50% chance you would die if you don't get an abortion, would you? You're in danger, not your baby. Your baby will live if you do not abort, but like I said, there is a 50/50 chance of your survival.

This is hard. I am very much pro life. But I have a 2 year old who needs his mother more than anyone. I couldn't bare to leave him without me. So how do I answer this? Do I risk the chance that I might not make it and leave my baby to grow up without a mother, or do I go abort my daughter just so I can live? How does a mother choose? I can't answer this question. And I pray that God doesn't put me thru that situation.

I don't think I could ever do it. I am pro life and a Christian. I believe God had all our days-all our seconds- planned out before He laid the foundations of the universe. While I love my life, my job, my family, etc., and do not wish to die, I'm not afraid to die. I know when I breathe my last breath on this earth, I'll breath my first in Heaven. I'm secure in that. My life, and my child's life, and the property of God. They are not my own. Christ showed sacrificial love on the cross to give all of humanity a chance at life. As His follower, how could I not be willing to do the same? To be willing to lay down my life for him or her? I'm just shy of 8w. I have no idea if this is a boy or a girl. But I know how much they are loved and I could never do it. I'd just prearrange for the best care available; gather a circle of support for myself, my husband, as and my baby; and leave the rest in God's hands.

I do not know.  A part of me says never.  But I have two little girls, they need me.  I guess if I did abort, I would never be able to forgive myself, and so probably wouldn't make much of a mom anyway.  So no abortion, probably.

When my mother was pregnant with my sister, they told her that she should get an abortion because all of my sister's organs would fail after she was born. My mother refused because she was strongly against abortion. My sister is very healthy and nothing was wrong with her when she was born.

This is exactly the risk my momma took for me and I am thankful. I would take it for my unborn baby in a heartbeat.
