I was on the pills before my IUD. She said I didnt have to take them anymore but I had 3 weeks left when I got my IUD. I finished out my pill pack. So I was still protected, overlapping the pills and the IUD.

No. That isn’t necessary. They take a test before insertion and go off of that. If for some case you are pregnant and it isn’t caught at the dr from being too early or what not, the IUD takes care of that. IUDs cause your body to not be able to inhabit a baby. Meaning the lining of your uterus cannot hold a baby.

1 was ONE day away from not having sex for 2 weeks & they still didn’t put it in , & my periods hadn’t come back yet because I was on the depo previously

They said sex was fine as long as we used a birth control method- condom or birth control pill

I used nuvaring up until 2 days before I got Mirena and used a condom for a week before I got it. Then I waited a week for it to be effective after i got it. And not only that but I read different things about how long to wait to have sex to prevent infection so I decided to just wait a whole week.
