Endometriosis or gastrointestinal?

Kayla • Wife. Mom. Type 1 diabetic.

Every couple of months I get these outbursts of excruciating cramps followed by diarrhea & vomiting. They happen when I am both on & off my period. I generally have an idea as to when they will happen because I get minor cramps (not the same cramps I get on my period) hours before that. Once the outburst happens it is impossible to move & I must stay hunched over something. I feel weak & clammy & almost like I could pass out. The cramps feel like I am being stabbed repeatedly in the lower abdomen. This continues until I finally throw up or after I am completely finished going to the bathroom. After this happens I feel instantly exhausted but am fine within an hour or less to go back to whatever I was doing. They never last very long. I also have the same cramps or even worse the first time I have a BM on my period & when I was pregnant with my son I had they same symptoms only much milder.

I have had these symptoms for several years now & have yet to find out what it is. I have explained them to my mom who has endometriosis & she swears that it is exactly what she has had. I went to a couple different different OB/GYNs who have told me that I do not have it so I am wondering if maybe it could be something gastrointestinal instead.

So my question is for anyone that has been diagnosed with endometriosis. Do any of these symptoms sound like what you have experienced or could it be something else entirely?
