Update. Is a thick endometrium a sign of early pregnancy?
Hi, today we went to the fertility clinic and the dr gave me an vaginal ultrasound, I have pcos and he saw all the follicles in each ovary, when he was checking the uterine lining, he said it was thick and that it could mean early pregnancy. He knows I am on day 29 of my cycle (they are 30 days long lately) but somehow he made me feel he was thinking it was very possible I am pregnant, he couldn’t see any sack because it would be too early. Then we talked to the nurse and again made me feel very hopeful saying that it was very possible. They took blood and I am waiting for the results for tomorrow. I am just impatient and I would like to know if anybody has been in this position. I know the uterine lining gets thicker when you are also going to have your period but I am wondering if it thickens a little more for pregnancy. I just find odd that the dr and nurse got my hopes up. I’ve also had cramps and my boobs hurt but I normally get this before my period.
Thanks ladies! I want to read your stories! And I am crossing my fingers this is our first baby! We’ve been trying for almost two years now.
UPDATE
9/7 Yesterday I started my period 😢 I really thought this could be it. Oh well... we are going to do a HSG this following week to check my tubes, I’ve read it is painful for some people and not painful for others, I am hoping I fall in the first group. After that we are going to start the process for our first IUI... if you have any positive stories of IUI with PCOS I would love to read them, I am trying to stay positive even though it gets harder and harder.
Also if you have any advice for relaxation, I would appreciate it. I now have trouble sleeping because my head is going crazy haha
