Does this look normal ? It’s bothering me !

This is my ultrasound at 8 weeks . The dark spots in the middle have been bothering me for a few weeks now despite the technician saying everything looked just as it should . This is my first pregnancy and I’m going for an ultrasound next week and I’ll be 11 weeks and some days . Anyone else have an ultrasound at 8 weeks with dark spots where the baby’s head is ?

Yes that's how ours was at 7 weeks as well. The tech explained that the dark spots are where the brain forms and it's just not formed yet enough to show solid like the rest of the body or something like that ( I was more in awe at the screen than concerned about listening to her honestly) but I do remember her saying it's totally normal and will change as baby develops.

With my first pregnancy I had an ultrasound sort of like that at 13 weeks.  There was a black circle  where his brain would be but they never had any concerns over it and my son was and is just fine.

i thought the same thing this was our 8 week scan i am 11 weeks now next appt is monday 🤞
