Last September I went in for my well woman’s exam, shortly after I had excruciating pain through my cycle- long story short, I got diagnosed with endometriosis in May 2018 via laparoscopic surgery. My OB said if were unable to conceive by December 2018, we’ll start fertility treatments. Ive been off BC since Nov 2015, and no positive yet. I’m 28, and my husband is 30, no kids yet, but eagerly awaiting the fertility appointment in December. Best of luck and I hoped I helped you.

After getting my bill of good health after my F/U from my annual exam, I asked my OBGYN how long I should wait before returning with no luck in the baby department, and she said 3 months. After 3 months, I returned.  She drew labs and did an ultrasound to make sure everything looked well (no cysts, etc) and when all came back well she said to take prenatal and folic acid supplements and after 3-6 months with no luck she would then refer me to reproductive endocrinology to see what they may be able to help with! It’s a long process and takes lots of patience but the younger you are the better because you have time on your side! Good luck and baby dust!

Most doctors will not see you until you've been actively trying for at least a year..  good luck.
