What are good pumps to get ?

If you ever want to be away from baby for more than 2-3 hours a pump is pretty essential. It allows you to pump milk for someone else to bottle feed your baby, and you pump while you are out to avoid engorgement. If you don’t pump while away from your baby and your baby is eating it can hurt your supply. 
If you don’t plan to pump much a manual pump should be fine, I have the Philips Avent one. An electric pump is easier if you will be pumping more that occasionally. For an electric pump, I really like my Spectra S2.

I would definitely get a pump, or at least a hand pump. You may need it if the baby sleeps through a feed as they get older, if you want to leave them for a few hours, or just to relieve engorgement for any reason.

You only need a pump If you are ever planning on being away from baby during a feed. Or if baby sleeps longer than usual and you are engorged. Or if you want anyone else to help with the feedings. Some people are use milk for baths and skin problems. Or milk popsicles for teething. 
Most insurances cover a pump so I’d just get the free one from them in case you ever need it.

My 2nd babe I nursed, no pump. Babe #3 is on the way and I don't have one. I don't think they're necessary at all. 
Really depends on your lifestyle and circumstances though. I'm home and will almost always be around babe. I am getting a haaka to catch what I leak so daddy can give a bottle now and then.

It’s nice to get time away from baby once in awhile. Breastfeeding can really tie you to your baby. That’s not a bad thing. It’s just- if you need to be away, you’ll need to give baby a bottle. If you don’t want to use formula in a bottle, I would invest in a pump. Or if there is an emergency, it’s nice to have back up. Insurance covers this these days.
I have the medela pump in style and I’ve had it for seven years. I love it.

My baby favored a boob so my other one would get engored. Honestly just buy a hand one I found that one to be much better and I could just release some milk as needed and be good
