induction?

anybody voluntarily (and with the consent and agreement of OB of course) agree to induction? 
I'm thinking I might go ahead and schedule mine because the baby is huge and I'm really uncomfortable. Is it really a big difference and much more painful? Please no judgy comments...

I will never ever allow induction for any reason other than being super overdue or baby/me being in danger.
When I was pregnant with my first son, I'd been in prodromal labor for 56 hours when my doctor coerced me into an induction to progress it. He had me convinced that since I'd been in labor so long, I would not know when to come back and would end up having my baby on my bathroom floor and risk my life because I'm extremely short petite.
While up to that point, I had about a minute between contractions, with the pitocin I had absolutely none. They were more painful too.
My son got stuck and had to be delivered with forceps. A 68 Unmedicated labor is torturous enough, but there is no feeling like forceps entering your cervix and turning/yanking your baby out with no pain medication. 
I ripped in three places and had two prolapses six weeks later. It was extremely awful. I will never ever do it again. I would rather have had my 68 hour labor turn into a 100 hour labor if I hadn't accepted the induction. 
It made my labor a terrible experience instead of a good one. It traumatized my mother. It gave me two prolapses that I have to live with for the rest of my life. I will never look at myself down there and not feel embarrassed or ashamed.
While induction does end up troublesome for a lot of women, it does go fine for a lot of women as well. But that is my experience with it and I'd never do it again unless going against it was risking my baby's life.

Me. I had two induction. One for both children and I was full term. With this baby I want to be induced. I know what to expect, my ob said I have to be full term and 3cm. I just left my appointment and I’m 2cm and I’ll be full term Sunday so hopefully next week when I go I’ll be 3cm and I can be induced. My body is done being pregnant. All the pain and the losing weight and being uncomfortable. I’m ok with not making it to 40weeks and having her at 39 weeks and some days real talk. Me and my SO are on the same page on this.

Following. My doctor wants me to get induced because I am pretty much paralyzed due to a pinched nerve in my back and I’m in a lot of pain but I’m trying to figure out if it’s going to be worth being induced or if I should just tough it out.

i was induced with my first because my dr was going out if town. i asked to be induced with our second because my husband was working 20 hours away at the time. im 37 weeks right now and asked to be induced again. so at 39 weeks I'll be induced. hoping everything goes smooth

do they still give you an analgesic like pain reliever in your early labor if you ask for it when being induced?

I’m being induced at 39+3. I haven’t been progressing in spite of the things my midwife told me would help ripen my cervix and i just know i will go overdue. some recent studies have shown its better to be induced at 39 weeks than being induced when overdue. I’m honestly just ready to meet my baby and trust my doctor.

I did, the only reason I wasn’t induced was because I was bumped since it was voluntary I was low on the list and ended up going into labor naturally. My OB told me recent studies have shown that induction at 39 weeks actually leads to fewer csections than at 41 weeks so she said it was slightly lower risk to induce before the due date. No judgement, do it if you can girl lol
