Army help UPSATED

Okay so the past 2 years I’ve tried to enlist in the army but got chicken before I ended up going to meps but I know it’s something I really want to do and have wanted to do for years now. I need some encouragement to bring it to my boyfriend and how we would go about me being gone for a long time

UPDATE:

I briefly mentioned the ideal to my boyfriend and it went iffy but I went and talked a recruiter today and will be swearing in hopefully next Thursday since I still have all my paperwork from last time. I haven’t mentioned it to my boyfriend again since last week but I’m planning on sitting him down tonight and having a serious talk about it and hopefully all goes well. Wish me luck!!!
