Hi ladies! I'm currently 29 weeks, and looking to switch from Tricare Prime to Tricare Standard in order to give birth at a birthing center rather than a hospital. I called the birthing center, and she said they work with Tricare patients all the time. Then, I called Tricare, and as {seemingly} always, they rushed the phone call and were rude. I told them I still needed to think about my decision and talk with my husband about it but I just wanted to call to get an idea of what percentage they would cover. She said under the Global Marernity Package, they cover up to 100% of costs, but anything not pregnancy related would be covered by me. TRICARE IS SO CONFUSING! I'm just going to wait for my husband to be home so that we can call together.
