Anyone picking/ picked a “popular” name and don’t care?

Hubby and i both want the name Charlie for a girl but are torn over officially naming her Charlie vs Charlotte. Charlotte is just soooo popular I’m not sure about it but at the same time i feel like we should give her the choice if she hates Charlie. So idk still on the fence for this one. We also don’t even know what we’re having, it might be a boy in which case this discussion doesn’t even matter! 🤷🏻‍♀️

My daughter will have the middle name Rose even though it seems like every little girl born this year will share the same middle name! But it’s a family name, it’s my middle name, and I wanna keep passing it down. Oh well!

Both my kids have/will have top 100 names. They're names we loved 🤷 Sadie is our daughter, we've met one other Sadie who was about a year older than ours. Levi is our son due in December, and we don't know anyone under age 10 with this name.

I wouldn’t pick something in like the top 10-15 names, but most of the names we like are in the top 100. So nothing super obscure, but also not something popular enough that they’ll likely have others in class with the same name.

I named my son Noah Steven. Pretty much in the top and I didn’t care. My girls are Zoey Gabrielle and Annelise Mikaye. I used Zoey before it became super popular though, she’s now almost 15.

Its better than naming your kid some ugly name trying to be unique haha. Who cares if its common. Your kid has to live with that name and put it on applications. Hannah sounds better than some of these crazy names I see on here

We just had our third boy at the end of June. We were team green but I knew he’d be another boy. I wanted something unique and scoured the internet looking for the perfect name, I fell I love with Archer. I was dead set. But right after he was born he didn’t look like an Archer to me he just looked like a Jack.... so that’s what we named him. I didn’t even consider how popular it was and man is it ever lol

For 11 years, I always thought that if I ever had a girl, I would name her Amelia with a nn Mia. I'm team green with my third, and I still love the name. But with both names being #6 and #7 of the top 100 names of 2018, I just couldn't bring myself to go with it. It's a shame, but maybe I could convince my kids to name a future granddaughter that and it won't be as popular then! 😆
