Looking for a new job while ttc

So at the start of the year I got a new job in my hospitals NICU as a nursing assistant.

We we're hoping to start ttc in Oct. But the thing is I'm not sure I want to stay at this job. It's not that I don't like it, I just don't think I'm any good and have considered looking for something else more than once.

At the same time, I'm not sure I want to look for a new job while ttc but I'm aware how long ttc take and don't want to be unhappy for potentially years.

My plan was to give it a year (by then we'll have been trying for 6 months) and if I'm not pregnant look for something else, but I haf a horrible night last night and I don't know what to do.
