Best time to take a pregnancy test?

I have 2 kids but always found out weeks into the pregnancy with them. So whens the soonest I can test? My expected period is due in 5 days.

I would say to wait at least 12 dpo if you don’t want to be disappointed with a false negative. Some women don’t get a positive until after they miss their period. Sometimes you get a line at 8 dpo. It varies pregnancy to pregnancy, that’s for sure.
