Birth Control, Late Period

Hello, everyone! So, I recently got on birth control on day 14 of my cycle. (The 22nd of August.) and my period was due the 28th day. It is now the 31st day and I’ve yet to see my period, although I have been cramping. I have not missed a pill, nor have I been late. Any ideas of what’s going on?
