Does everyone get chickenpox once in their life?

I am 17 and never had chickenpox in my life.

Whenever you go to the doctor at least make sure you have the vaccine because contracting it as an adult can be dangerous.

You know probably got the vaccine for it when you were younger I’m 24 and got it when I was 4 I think but around that time they didn’t have a vaccine for it until a few years later.. out of us 4 kids me my older brother and the one after me we all got it at the same time but the youngest didn’t get it when he was born and we are 5 years apart

My great aunt was in her 80s and had never had them. I had the chicken pox one year on Christmas and I had to stay home with my mom from the party so she didn’t get it. It sucked being in seclusion at Christmas but my mom made it fun. I was Mrs Claus and she was Mrs Easter Bunny and we had a tea party. Lol

They came out with a vaccine a little before you were born-when i was a kid. It wasn’t required when it first came out so i got chicken pox but now schools either require the vaccine or that you’ve had chicken pox. If you havnt had the vaccine you should get it because chicken pox when you’re older is much much worse.

I'm 24 and have never had chickenpox. My sister who will be 13 this year has never had them either. We were both vaccinated against it. I was exposed quite a bit when I was younger as well.

I had it when I was much younger. For some odd reason it seems like no one ever gets chickenpox anymore

I don’t think I had it. As young as you are, you were probably vaccinated for it and have no reason to have ever had it.
