When to test for LH surge

So, do you do an ovulation test everyday from the first day of your cycle until the first day of you period/expected period?

Answer

If you've never tested with opksbefore I would recommend you start testing the day after your period finishes. If you're using the strip tests make sure to test between 11am and 6pm after limiting drinks and bathroom breaks for 2-3 hours, make sure to let the test develop for the full 10 minutes. As the test line starts to get darker over the days then start to test twice a day.
If youre pretty clued in to how long your cycles are and they're regular, what you can do is look at your cycles over the past year and see what your shortest cycle was, take off 14 days from that cycle which will give you your ovulation day, then take off another couple days and thats when you start testing with opk's :)
