Hey ladies. My husbands family goes to Puerto Vallarta every year for Thanksgiving and we are set to go the end of November with them!

My husband and I are TTC #2 and i just remember about México and the threat of Zika.

I went to PV Mexico 2 years ago literally right when I found out I was pregnant and was so nervous but used bug spray and all went well. Side note, We’ve never gotten a bug bite there. We stay as a big nice resort so I think they spray, but in November we’ve never had mosquito bites.

I’ve read that PV is still technically a Zika risk so now I’m torn. 1. Im currently in TWW. If I’m pregnant, do we not go? 2. If I’m not, do we stop TTC if we want to go?

I know it sounds crazy to take a risk, but from what I understand the risk is so low, I think it may be similar to my risk I have where I currently live (Tampa, FL). Of course I will ask my doc if/when I’m preggo

Any of you have experience or thoughts? No judgement please! Just trying to think ahead. I want to be smart but want to be reasonable too.
