Chest pains?

I had to go to the ER today bc I thought I was having a heart attack but I wasn't having numbness or other symptoms. My chest was hurting bad though! The drs told me that they couldn't tell me much bc they can't do a lot due to pregnancy. Any ideas what it could be???

The first thing they will do is 12 lead ekg. Then they will do 3 Trops enzyme atleast 3 hours apart. Then they do a stress test. They are probably referring to the stress test that they cant do. People instantly think chest pain means heart attack, but it is very unlikely unless you have underlying heart issues or significant family history. Are you still having chest pain? 
It's more likely to be GI issues. I had esophagitis at one point and it honestly felt like a heart attack! Since heartburn is very common in pregnancy I would look into that. Also if your having anxiety or working out your heart beats a lot faster and harder then normal which can cause cardiac like chest pain. I would follow up with your pcp!

I have had a heart attack when I was in my 20's. They should have done a blood test to check for troponin. This protein is from the blood directly from your heart which indicates a heart attack. Go to your gp and ask them to check for it. xx

Could be your gallbladder. I had symptoms like that while pregnant, and it took four hospital visits before they figured out what it was.

I haven’t had this personally, but my sister has! She had something called Costochondritis, basically like internal muscle strain. She called me freaking out thinking she was having a heart attack! We went to the ER and they did an EKG and everything was normal. Last minute they did a chest X-ray and apparently she had pneumonia that went unnoticed and because of that she had the Costochondritis. Good luck and hope you feel better!

I get really bad chest and esophagus spasms. They usually reach into my back as well sometimes. I usually just add heat and make my husband rub the area. Maybe that was it?

I had chest/heart pains with anxiety. It got so sever my dr would have me come in and have ekg done once a month so he could make sure there wasnt any damage being done
