When did your baby outgrow newborn diapers?

7 weeks old, 11 lbs 6 oz and still in newborn diapers. I tried size 1 in the same brand and it was no where close to fitting. She is also almost 25inches so she’s tall and lean. I love she still fits newborns but at the same time I’m scared to by many Incase she grows before I can use all or most of them. Any other moms going through or have gone through this. When did your baby(ies) outgrow newborn diapers?

Our little girl is probably about 10lbs currently, her 2mo appt is this week. She’s been in size one for at least 5wks now. She’s long so the newborn size didn’t seem to give enough coverage up her front and butt/lower back and I was afraid of blowouts! Plus newborn were starting to leave little marks as if they were too tight and not breathable on her after just a couple weeks!

At the hospital! My 8 week almost 13 lbs chunk is in size 3 diapers. Her thighs are so thick we couldn't get them to close snuggly on her waist. My son was super lean and lanky and wore newborn until about 6 weeks. I was running to store every few days buying small packs of diapers waiting for him to grow.

Mine never fit in nb! He was given size 1 in the hospital...not chunky tho

My baby girl is still in newborns but we use 1’s through the night. But she is also only 8 pounds 5 Oz @ 2 months old (or maybe a little more as that was last week) she’s an inky dinky thing

My baby is 8 weeks, 12.6 and wearing size 1’s. She outgrew then when she was 9lbs and born at 8.6... so she only wore NB for 2 weeks after she was born.. soooo many NB diapers wasted.

I have a little one on the long and lean side as well. From the beginning we were using both Pampers Swaddlers and Huggies in newborn (all gifts from diaper raffles) and noticed the pampers run smaller so we used those first and when it was time to transition at around 6.5-7 weeks we went Pampers Swaddlers in newborn to Huggies newborn to Pampers Swaddlers in size 1 and now moving onto the Huggies size 1... I think I only had one extra newborn diaper left over in a forgotten mini diaper bag. Pretty good! Maybe that helps you? The thigh holes are just so big on our lean babes!

About 4 weeks..he is 7 weeks now and size 1 seems too small..he is about 12 or.maybe 13 lbs.
