Anyone else feel like their doctor is over the top with you just because you're overweight?! I loved my gyno literally up until I got pregnant. Now I'm just frustrated and swear shes the reason I'm so stressed out.

I understand how you feel. I had a different obgyn with my first and I was considered overweight then but they only did standard testing and procedures. For this pregnancy I had to see a new obgyn due to insurance. They are definitely overly cautious due to my weight. I’ve had a very healthy pregnancy. 37 weeks now and gained 7 lbs, no diabetes, no high blood pressure. I was annoyed at first because she scheduled me for ultrasounds every 4 weeks and now I get NST every week. While I was happy to see and hear my baby I did feel singled out, like I’m being picked on soley because of my weight. This far into my pregnancy I’ve finally come to accept it and know I have a few short weeks left to meet my baby. Every week when we take a look/listen at baby and everything is perfect i kind of want to be like “BOOYAH, Were still healthy!” Lol. I guess we should be thankful that the doctor would rather be safe than sorry being that overweight people are more likely to have complications.

I lucked out and my Obgyn has never issued any concerns about my weight. It has never even been a topic of discussion yet and I’m 24 weeks

My ob/gyn would tell me at every visit that I was obese and needed to lose weight. The first week, instead of giving me prenatals, iron pills, and calcium, the woman put me on a strict diet.
Second week, still no prenatals, was yelled at again about my weight, then was told I was severely anemic and still calcium deficient. But the ultrasound said my baby was healthy, at a good full weight, though she was big 15 weeks. But I continued my diet.
Come 20 weeks, I found out my baby went from being overweight to being underweight, in 4 weeks time.
I was so furious that I told the maternal fetal people about my doctor and they said what she was doing was not right and that I should be prescribed the vitamins I needed instead of being told to buy them.
If you feel like something isn't right, talk to someone and make a change quickly.

Mine literally in a nice way told me I should remove my IUD and I should wait to get pregnant.  Went on and on how I will be a  category 3 high risk.  I’m 34 and questioned that even if I were to wait I would then still be high risk because I will be 35 and AMA.  My SO and I decided to have it removed anyway and are TTC first month.

So over the top I guess she seems to be native more than positive. I've gained no weight, I've lost actually. I was told I have GD but I passed all my tests minus 1 blood draw which was 181, but all my other draws for my glucose tests were fine. I now though have to monitor myself daily. Even my nutritionist was confused. Then my BP is always on point, even on stressful days I dont go over 130, which is normal but she says oh well you could have preeclampsia, so let's think about you having baby early. All bloodwork is perfect, same for urine tests, and the growth of baby. It's like shes just waiting for me to plummet into bad conditions.

what do you mean by over the top? Mine mentions my weight gain every visit to make sure im on track, they take extra precautions about GD and blood pressure, and they have sent me to growth scans.
