What happens at the last 2 months of Dr. Apts?

I am now scheduled to have apointments every 2 weeks. Currently 31 weeks and wondering if all of the appointments from now on will just be my weight and stomach measurement like the last one.
Is there an apt where they have you take your pants off and check down there? Just trying to get an idea for what to expect.

Between 35-37 weeks they’ll teat you for strep b

It's usually just measurements etc. Sometimes at 37-38 weeks they'll offer a stretch and sweep however I was never offered it till 40 weeks. You can absolutely refuse it. However in labor there will be alot of checks down there.

I’m 34 weeks now and starting at 35 weeks my doctor will start checking my cervix for effacement and dilation. That’s when I start weekly appointments.

Every doctor is different. We have a maternity clinic at our hospital with different doctors everyday so depending on what day you make your apt you see someone new with a different opinion then the last. It’s actually quite frustrating. I only get measured and they listen to the heartbeat at each apt. Guess it depends on what you tell them tho, I haven’t had any reason to complain. Strep b at like 35 weeks and some people start getting checks at like 37 weeks and membrane sweeps but I had my 38 week apt last week ad have not had any internal exams yet. Doctor said next week (39 weeks) they will check and do a membrane sweep but I’ll have a different doctor at my next apt and from what I heard she doesn’t like doing them so who knows. I would just go in with no expectations but I always ask at the end of my apt about my next one cause if I am gonna be checked I want to know about it.
