My ex husband is involved in our daughter's life, has her 2 evenings and one overnight a week. My husband has been around since she turned 2 (she's now 4) and he is amazing with her, and has been since day 1. He loves her as his own, no one would ever question if they didn't know. For the most part, we coparent well together, sometimes we get annoyed or irritated with things, but my daughter has never seen/heard us argue, talk bad about, or even be short with each other.

My now ex husband left me when I was barely a month along, he hasnt ever seen my son. Met my now husband when I was 5 months pregnant. My son will be 9 this year.

Bio dad has neglected to see his child for over 2 years. May 9, 2013 was his last visit. He doesn't call or text or make an effort. He's also stopped paying child support. He also has a 2 year old daughter that he hasn't seen.

My son's biological father has never met him, and he will be 7yrs old in January. I got pregnant at 17 and he was 24 at the time. He left me for someone else, who he now has a child with in addition to taking care of her son. He was paying $25 a month in child support. No phone calls, emails, messages, letters, nothing. I talk to his brother regularly, as well as our mutual friends. He never asked them or myself about my son. My husband has been my son's father since he was a year old and in June, was finally able to adopt him after bio father put up a fight and objected out of spite. After months, he surrendered his rights in exchange for 4 photos a year. I didn't want to do it, but I'll take it over him having rights. Telling my six year old his dad isnt his dad was very difficult and I am so, so glad that it is all over and my husband is now legally his parent.

I have a girl and a boy. I am no longer with my little girl's dad but he's a good dad. He is really not able to take care of her much but he tries. My son dad which is her step dad is the best step dad ever!! He do things with her that don't do. He love her so much that he don't won't her to go with her bio dad but he respect that but he is great and he been here since she was one and now she's three about to be 4 in Oct. He put in time like a real parent he even be on her harder than his son and he don't play about her at all!!

I didn't vote because I'm the kid with the step dad who had been around since I was 2-2 and half years old and then adopted me when I was 11 (I'm 23 now) whose biological dad (aka sperm donor) is not involved but as of 5 years ago my step dad is no longer involved in my life either. So I struck out with not one dad but two lol

My fiancé/twins father is the most loving involved father I have ever seen. Even others comment on how I am so lucky to have him and how great a dad he is to our baby girls.

Sperm donor as we call him chose women and heroin over his kids. I took him to court last year finally and the judge gave him supervised visitation every other Sunday for a couple hours and he couldn't even do that. My daughter unfortunately knows he exists and had a hard time with it for a short while. She was 3 the last he was involved with her my son however was 3 1/2 months old when I started dating my now husband so he's all he knows and loves him to pieces. I'm so thankful for my husband he stepped right up to the plate and loves my babies as his own and I wouldn't have it any other way.... everything happens for a reason
