I went to see my high risk doctor and the genetic counselor on Friday. They both want to do an amniocentesis due to my daughter having two genetic abnormalities. My husband is also pushing me to do this test. Yes I want to know as much about this baby as possible but I am afraid that I will fall into the .5% of women who loose their baby because of the amniocentesis. I feel so conflicted. Has anyone here ever had an amniocentesis done before? What was your experience?
