Hello lovelies,

I'm a theatre technician, mainly dealing with lighting at my local venue.

My job primarily consists of climbing ladders, rigging lights and doing get ins/outs which often include bulky flighcases and awkward to carry objects.

I'm 11 weeks today and work know as of last week. My boss seems to think I'll be OK to carry on with what I'm doing provided I make sure I lift with the correct technique!!!! I'm very concerned about this attitude. My fellow colleagues are more supportive and often leave lighter things for my to carry in and run up the ladders when they can.

Where do I stand on refusing to climb ladders etc as its such a vital part of my job? Im a size 14 and whilst I do have the very beginnings of a bump, I won't be actively showing for another few weeks, but already its getting uncomfortable climbing ladders no matter how slow and cautious I take it.
