Suffering a Loss and Getting Back on the Horse

Kira

I had my first positive pregnancy test August 19th 2018. I did a cheap first signal and a clearblue digital. I wanted to see it worded because I was in shock and disbelief. I had my first offical urine analysis and ultrasound on Aug. 29th. The RN couldn't make out much on the screen. I had another appointment made with a true OBGYN Sept 5th. Over the weekend (started Friday) before this visit I started to have spotting which I didn't think anything of because I read that it was normal. Monday Sept 3 I had a bit of a stressful day and it felt like my symptoms were leaving me. Later that night I had to go to the ER because the bleeding got worse. They ran my beta levels and it was only showing 569 when they should have been in the thousands. Still nothing on ultrasound. They diagnosed it as miscarriage but wouldn't know until I went to my OB visit Wednesday. They did another ultrasound and yes nothing again. I didn't find my blood results until later that day and it confirmed miscarriage with levels at 326. I have been bleeding since that Monday consistently. Really painful emotionally and physically. Please if you are a negative blood type be sure to get the rhophylac shot to avoid the blood complications. Normally they don't administer the shot unless you bleed or at 28 weeks then again at birth, but you can get the shot as soon as you find out you're pregnant. I don't want anyone to lose their little angel. As soon as the doctor gives me the okay, I will be trying again.
