I’m still closeted to my parents, but this is how I came out to my friends (in the worst way possible):

One of my friends in 7th grade until now (we are sophomores in high school) always has a slumber party for her birthday. There was really only 2 of my friends there of the 6 or 7 girls. So that night, probably around 11 or so, we were getting into that “Who do you guys have crushes on?” conversation and I stood up on my friend’s bed and said “I’m a lesbian, and if anyone has a problem with it you can sleep in the living room!” Definitely not the best time to come out to girls I barely know. They all said they were supportive of me. Fast-forward to now, I’m now friends with 3 of those girls and they all love me. I highly recommend not coming out the way I did 😂

Edit: I forgot to say that I go to a catholic school and half of them were catholic... 😂
