So we want to use my husbands grandmothers name somehow if we have a daughter. Her middle name is Margaret and I love the shortened version, Margot a lot. I spoke to her about this and she would be delighted if we used it. I had no idea though that Megan (my name) is a derivative of Margaret and now I feel kind of bothered by it. Like I love the name Margot so much, but do you think it’s gonna seem like I am trying to name my kid after myself?? Like do you think anyone would make that connection or am I just being silly and overthinking it?🤔
