At 31w3d on September 1st at 6:15am I was getting up outta bed when I felt a gush of fluid coming out of my. I woke my husband to tell him my water broke. We had pprom with our daughter too so it wasn’t too scary that I was going into labor early because we knew the drill.

So I took a shower while my hubby got our daughter dressed. We left for the hospital and made it there by 7:30. They checked me and confirmed I’d ruptured and started the magnesium and beta shots for babies lungs and sent me to the pregnancy ICU for monitoring.

My labor stopped and the plan was finish beta shots in the morning, continue antibiotics, and stay in hospital until 34 weeks and then they would induce.

I kept that baby in for exactly one week and he had other plans. On September 8th I kept telling the Dr I think I’m getting an infection because it feels like I have the flu plus I also feel slight contractions every 10min. They put baby on the monitor for one hour and in that hour the contractions got intense quick, but for some reason they did not pick up on the monitor. I thought 2 things. Either I was being a baby or the machine was broken. One of the doctors check me and said I was not dilated. After that check my contractions where every 2 mins and I literally thought I was going to die. They finally moved me to L&D and another dr checked me and I was at 4cm. Got my epidural and one hr later I was 9cm. By the time they had finished setting up the room I was ready to push. Started pushing at 7:28 and baby was born at 7:34. My precious baby delivered at 32w3d. He weighed 4.8lbs and is whopping 19in long. He’s having a few issues with his lungs so they put him on a cpap and IV for antibiotics. Hoping my baby comes home in 5 weeks.

Baby boy is doing so good 😊 just needs to learn how to eat. Already 5lbs and in open crib
