If their was a hurricane/tropical storm and your sons were in the NICU, would you go stay with them while the storm passes?

So their may be a tropical storm or hurricane that hits, my sons are in the NICU, what should i do?
Go down and stay with them?
Or just stay home?

I live in Florida where hurricanes are common and the worst hurricane by far was the hurricane where I had to stay in one during the storm. The workers in the hospital didn’t have anywhere to sleep after their 12 hours shift but the floor in sleeping bags (they aren’t allowed to leave!) since there were only so many beds and many were being taken up by families of the patients. Because so many families wanted to stay, we also ran out of food and both patients, families, and staff had barely anything to eat for a day or two until we received the all clear and could leave. I would never again stay in the hospital during a hurricane, and families staying there really do inconvenience the staff that should be taking care of your child but maybe that’s just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

You're probably safer in a hospital than you would be in your own home, unless you live in a bomb shelter. And there is nothing that would keep me away from my kids.
