Something I really don't get is why everyone is obsessed with unisex names?!

Having grown up with one and been nothing but bullied because of it, I actually don't really like my name at all. Not to mention that even in adulthood EVERYONE has something to say about my name (mostly negative) and its just annoying. I want my children to feel strong and empowered and enjoy their names without them being too "unique" or "unisex".
