How many weeks do you have to be to see or hear baby heartbeat on ultrasound.  I have one on Friday il be 6 week 3 days

Just depends if it’s abdominal or vaginal . I had an abdominal at 6weeks and 3 days and only saw the sac , went today at 7 weeks and seen the baby and heart beat

I saw it via a transvaginal ultrasound at 6w1d according to my LMP.  The baby measured 6w0d.  It was 119bpm.
Tomorrow I go to my first high risk/maternal fetal Med high-res ultrasound where I will be 8w5d.  (I am transferred out of my reg obgyn’s practice to a solely high risk/MFM practice for reasons related to congenital abnormalities and extensive abdominal surgeries on my end- wasn’t related to baby or heartbeat.)

I saw my sons at 6 but they say it could take up to 8.
