What do you consider sleeping through the night??

I see all these people saying their LO’s are sleeping though the night and I’m over here like huh?!?! Mine JUST started sleeping a big 6 hour stretch. But then he still wakes up again 3 hours later. I guess I’ve always wanted mine to go down earlier so I could have alone time so he sleeps 8p-2a eats and then 2:15-6 or 7. I’m just wondering if these babies that are sleeping through the night are actually sleeping the 12 hours or what!?! If so...tell me your tricks!!!

I would KILL for a six hour stretch. Mine has done one 5 hour stretch. The rest are 2-3 hours at night and 1-2 during the day.

Like 7 or 8+ hours. My son only does 5-6 at the very most. 2/3am wake up isnt sleeping through the night for me. IDE love to go from 9pm to 7am 🙏🏼🙏🏼

My 7 week old sleeps thru the night 9pm-5am then goes back to sleep till 8am. She only takes cat naps after about 1pm so I think she’s just really tired when it’s finally bedtime.

6 hours is considered sleeping through the night. Anything beyond that is just bonus for young infants.

Mine is 6 weeks and only did 2 6 hour stretches and wake up at 3 or so then it’s either 3 or 2 hours later. I would love for mine to sleep all through the night since I’m going back to work in a week

I haven’t had what I consider sleeping through the night. Probably our best stretch is 10 or 11 through 3 or 4, or eating at 11/12, up at 4/5. Last night she ate at 8, fell asleep at 9:30 and then woke up at 12:30 to eat and fell asleep easily and didn’t wake up again until 5. But most nights, she’s eating every 3 to 3.5 hours.

My LO has been sleeping 9+ hours for a couple weeks. Was doing 5+ at a week old. Kinda sucks cus I still have to wake up and pump 😕

My son sleeps from 9 or 10 p. Until 5 am then wakes back up at 8:30 -9 am

My 6 week old will go for a 6-7 hour stretch generally starting around 8 or 9pm. We will wake up usually around 3am to eat, then she will sleep for another 3-4 hours. Wake up around 7ish, eat then sleep for another 2 hours. So your LO is doing about the same as mine. Occasionally we will have “bad” nights waking up every 2-3 hours and having hell falling back asleep but most of the time she will go right back to sleep. Last night we got an 8 hour stretch, it was heaven🙌🏻
