new pregnancy, new job, insurance questionnaire?!!?
So, I just started week 2 of my awesome new job with a small company, and week 5 of 🌈 pregnancy.
I’m eligible for benefits soon and my healthcare enrollment packet includes a mandatory questionnaire asking things like:
Are you pregnant and due date.
List prior surgeries (like my multiple d&cs?)
List medications (don’t get me started on my old lady pill organizer)
Do you have any stds (not including hiv/aids)
Do you have hiv/aids? (Ohh good, was worried they weren’t being thorough enough)
What to the FFFF??? Is it just me or is it super illegal to force me to hand this to my employer if I want health insurance? I’d be ok answering the insurer directly bc I recognize it affects cost but I really don’t want our HR chicks knowing my life. IMO even the insurer asking most of this stuff is obnoxious.
HR said everyone else just fills it out without complaining. Side note, the firm is 100% remote, so the form says staple pages together to hide sensitive info, but I would be posting a scanned pdf to our shared drive in a sub folder which is supposedly limited access called “first name last name personal info”
Was hoping not to share my news until year end, so my review/comp isn’t skewed.
Anyone else deal with one of these forms recently?
