Is 3mm a good/safe size for a nose piercing?

Original posted as a poll but more people voted see poll. I got my nose pierced and the ring is 3mm, I read that that size is to small and can cut like a string in the body, when I change the jewelry what size gage should I put in?

DO NOT PIERCE YOUR NOSE WITH A GUN! Unless you want the cartilage to shatter. It should be done by a licenced body piercer using a sterile hallow needle. My nose was pierced at 1.2mm and now I wear 1mm screws or rings in it. My septum is 1.2mm. My nipples and belly button are ay 1.6mm. 3mm is too thick for nose piercings.

what gauge is that? because according to google that’s a size 8 gauge which is absolutely massive.

DO NOT USE A GUN! It causes too much shock and teams to the skin plus you risk infections and getting it stuck

3mm is HUGE! ThTs almost a small size ear gauging. 99% of nose rings are size 18 gauge-21 gauge. Nose peircings are suppose to be small. My nose ring is a size 20.
