NICU?

Question

I'm 35 weeks today with twins! I found out I have preeclampsia, my doctor order blood work to be done. If that comes back abnormal then we are having our babies Wednesday. I wanted to know moms stories with their babies being born at 35 weeks?

My friend had her twins at 35 weeks. One was in the NICU for 4 hours and the other one was there for 12 hours! Good luck!!!

Full term for twins is 38 weeks so not too far off but I had my boys at 35 weeks. Was told they’d immediately go into the NICU (we have a level 3, one of the best in the state) but they didn’t need it. Glucose and bilirubin issues taken care of in my room. Happy healthy boys then and now. With your preeclampsia however I’d expect them to be in the NICU for at least a couple hours for monitoring. Good luck momma!

That’s pretty much almost full term for twins, your baby will from be in Nicu for a few days and hopefully be healthy as a horse after that, nothing to worry about too much about your babies, but you on the other hand may feel dizzy after birth and may have swelling so get heaps of help from family members :) just a brief overview
