Age kids stopped napping?

I’m just trying to get a feel for what napping looks like in other families. Our guy is 3.5 and we stick to a strict nap routine but many friends/coworkers with similar age kids say they dropped the nap awhile ago. Also - how long of naps do your kids still take? Our guy averages 2.5-3 hours. Thanks!

Childcare teacher here. I've had a variety; most kids started to drop the nap after 3 years. 
Some of my 3yo would take longer to fall asleep, and only sleep for barely an hour. A few would sleep for an hour or so, but then the parents told us they were impossible to get down to sleep at night until very late. So they likely would have benefited from dropping the nap and going to bed at night a bit earlier. 
I general, my 1-2 year olds who took one nap, would sleep for 1.5-2 hours every day. A few always slept 2+ hours and were also great sleepers at home (and this is in a good sleep environment; little light, no distracting noise).

My three year old still naps daily and on weekends my 6 yr old sometimes naps.
