When is the time for the first doctors visit

I found out on 9/4/2018 that I am expecting. My 1st. I can’t wait to see my doc to do a confirmatory preg test. When should I go for my first appointment? Was thinking to make an appointment during the week of 17th. What do you girls thinks?

Some drs wont see you until 10-12 weeks, so just call and get in around the time they will see you... btw congratulations!!

Congrats! Not all doctors do a test to confirm other than just a urine dip test since home test are pretty accurate. I called as soon as I had my positive home test and they scheduled me for when I would be 8 weeks along.

i didn’t see my doctor until 6-8 weeks and which i’m thankful for because i got a ultrasound too
