First Ultrasound?

So my hubby is very busy with his job and sometimes gone a lot. I am 4 weeks 5 days with baby #2, per glow, and our first appointment is 8/10. Our office told us it was urine sample and paperwork and etc. But I see some of you had an ultra sound at your 7 week appointment or will be. Is this normal? We werent planning on him going until appointment #2 at 11 weeks.
