Is it enough cardio

So my oldest child is in gr2 youngest kindergaten half days. In total just taking them to and from school i walk 3.5 miles. Im trying to lose weight. Now i go to the gym monday to wednesday and before they both went to school i woukd do 45mins of cardio plus weights. But im thinking of cutting cardio to just 30 mins? Do you think thats suffient enough to loose weight?
