Car seats?

There just seem to be so many choices.  Does anyone have a suggestion on whether to get Newborn / convertible seats? Favorite seats for safety and ease of use?

I love our Graco click connect car seat/base/stroller. So damn simple and so not over priced.

The infant seats are SO awesome that just click in and come out so you can carry them or put them in the travel system. By the time my son was like 6 months I couldn't carry him in the car seat anymore because he weighed so much. Ugh it was so heavy lol. So then I got a convertible and it will last until he's 65lbs! So like 4years old. My britax hold from 5-40lbs backwards and then 20-65 forwards. I would get an infant and a convertible. Or at least register for them.

I'm most likely going with Cybex Aton Q, but also love the Combi Shuttle. The safety features is what lead me to both of these.

I would absolutely LOVE the Kiddy Evolution Pro because it's the only carseat in the US with a height limit of 37inches which means your baby can rear face in his infant seat for a much longer time period!  And it also has a very flat lie back feature when out of the car so you can let baby sleep. However the weight and price are the only two things holding me back!

With my first daughter we had a newborn car seat and by he time she was 6 months we ended up getting a new one bc she grew out of hers, we chose to just get her the convertible car seat and now with this baby we are just getting a convertible instead of newborn
I suggest the convertible but it also depends on if you're okay with baby being in a stroller laying down and not in car seat
I think it's okay as I've seen numerous mommies do it that way but all depends on how you feel about it😊

Favorite seats for safety- they all have to pass the same safety standards so regardless of brand and price they are "equal". However, Britax is said to do more crash testing on their products since they have a crash test site on location which is nice to know. Doesn't necessarily make it better. 
Favorite seat for ease of use is by far the UPPAbaby Mesa car seat in my opinion. However it wasn't available when I needed to purchase mine a few months back so I got the Britax elite and I love it. Works great with my city select stroller.

I narrowed it down to maxi cosi or silvercross simplicity and ended up choosing silvercross. There have been many cases where the maxi cosi hood actually pinged off into the babies face which I really didn't like the sound of, so I went with silvercross even though it was slightly more expensive and slightly heavier. My little girl isn't here yet but I am very happy with my decision 👶🏼 it also seems more padded than a maxi cosi and the overall appearance just looks cosier, safer and better 😊
