I came home today and my boyfriend (of 2 years)  said, “you look cute.” 
I replied that “I always look cute” because i’m trying to work on my self esteem. 
He seriously said, “Not always” in return. 
🙃 Yes, he was serious. It’s like they don’t know when to shut up.

I think not saying something/volunteering info isn’t quite the same as lying in the case of not wanting to hurt your SOs feelings. My husband always has bad breath but I don’t tell him all the time because it hurts his feelings.
