Baby teethers?

Question

There seem to be a million types of teethers out there! Any suggestions on which ones/types to buy? And how many will be needed?

I keep hearing about Sophie the giraffe. It seems quite pricey for a teether. Is it worth it?

Also by what age should I start giving the baby a teether?

My daughter LOVED Sophie and so did my nephew. If I didn't already have one I'd definitely be getting one this time around too. Other than that I don't really know because I made some Popsicles and gave them to her when she was teething. Between that and Tylenol I didn't do anything special and she just chewed on whatever toys she wanted and she didn't seem to have a favorite. I bought a little bit of everything in the teething section though lol.

My son loved Sophie. Walmart carries something similar to it in different animals. At a little cheaper price.

And they have those infant feeders. I always put frozen bananas and other things in them for him to chew on and he loved it!!!!

I hate the Sophie the giraffe. For my son we got the one that was star shaped and you stick it in the freezer. Worked for the fat back of his teeth.

These are pretty great! They hit the back molars and kids seem to love them. I had them in our infant and toddler rooms at a learning center I ran and I always recommended them to parents.
