Ultrasounds: how many?

Ive read multiple points of views about limiting the quantity of ultrasounds you have during pregnancy. I'm just curious if anyone else is being cautious about it, and what you think a normal quantity is?

I had one early on because I have short cycles and I needed "proof" my dates were correct. The 18-20 week scan. And I may need one at 36 weeks if I have gestational diabetes again. I'd prefer to skip it if I can. I had it with my first 2 and I delivered both 2 weeks early, so I feel it wasn't necessary. That and the fact that my blood sugars were completely controlled with diet and exercise

I had one at 9 weeks, then 13 weeks, then a 3D (private place) scan at 17 weeks, then morphology scan at 19 weeks. At my 19 weeks scan they discovered my placenta is lying a little low, so I'll be having another at 34 weeks to see if it's moved!

We have had 2 and our doctor told us that we won't plan on any more unless there are concerns about baby's growth. Our first was at 8 weeks to confirm the pregnancy and see the heartbeat. The second was at 20 weeks for an anatomy check.

I don't think they do any harm to the baby otherwise doctors wouldn't be doing it in high risk pregnancy every week. I had 6 so far ... Still in my 22 week.

I'm in the UK and three ultrasounds are the usual in the area I live in: 12, 20 and 36 weeks

Due to being high risk, I get them every week from weeks 16-24. I'm currently 21 weeks. After that, I think we're done lol.

I'm 19 weeks and I've only had 1 ultrasound done so far, next Monday is my fetal anatomy scan and my doctor said that's the last ultrasound I will recieve unless there is something unexpectedly wrong with the baby or if he or she needs extra care and needs to be watched carefully

So far we have had an 8 week, and 12 week. And I go for my 20 week in 2 more weeks. If everything looks good with the 20 week that will be all. However, my 12 week showed a low-lying placenta and if it is still lying low will need another at around 32 weeks.

I'll be having a ton! I am 20 wks today and just had my 4th. I take a heart medication that could make baby grow a little slower. So far baby is above weight and doing amazing! Here on out I'll have them every 4 weeks!

I had one at 8 weeks because I did not know when my lmp was. Typically at the office I go to they only do one at 20 weeks for the anatomy scan. I don't know how I feel about getting multiple scans.
