“Rachel, it’s me Kyra I’m coming over for homework.” My best friend spoke in a very agitated tone.

Austin looked up at me in shock. I thought he was going to murder me right there in cold blood but instead he whispered in my ear 👂, “ I’m not here and I never was, and don’t tell her or anyone else.”

He ran and hid in the closet leaving a crack so he could see what was going on. “Hold on” I said “ I’m coming”

I ran to where my tee shirt and bra lay and dug for some nike shorts and scurried to the door and grabbed my phone, I unlocked the door and low and behold is Kyra in her mom jeans with a striped orange shirt and chucks on. I have never been more glad to see my dorky friend.

“Okay Rach, I need my hair and make...” Kyra stopped unexpectedly.

She opened the closet and found a half dressed ugly nerd, sitting in the closet walkway. She saw my half heated curling iron and started beating him with it. He cried out in pain and my mom and Kyra’s brother, Kayden, came running up to my room.

Long story short, my mom called the cops and he was arrested. The next week we went to court and they tried to use the burns from the curling iron against my case but my new favorite person overruled it and he got 2-3 years in juvie.

That night I walked home from school with Kayden because Kyra had a incident in class.

Kayden was, unlike Austin , had dark hair and blue eyes, with freckles. Now he was fine. I guess he was a little nervous to because he normally talks wayyy to much, but he didn’t say anything. As we were heading home, he said that going by the museum of natural history was fastest. I didn’t think so but I love the museum anyway. As we went by he told me to go in and paid the full 150$ fee. As we wandered around, he asked me

“Do you even like the museum? I mean because this might not even be enjoyable for you.”

I smiled and said “Well, I love all museums but art is my favorite.”

“ Same time next week ?”

“ Always.”
