Hand and foot disease??

Question

Anyone dealt with this before?  If so, what happened?  My 2 year old daughter has a rash on the bottom of her foot and she has a fever.  Doctor thinks it might be hand and foot disease.  But now my daughter says the rash itches.  Is that normal for the sores to itch??  How long did it take to clear??
UPDATE:  is it normal to spread?  She now has a small rash all over her back.  The sores on her feet look like they are healing,  and she hasn’t had a fever in over 24 hours.

It's considered contagious until all of the sores have blistered and there's no fever. Usually it's itchy but I've had kiddos that it didnt seem to bug them (I was a toddler teacher for years)
It has to clear up on it's own and it will, usually takes about a week to two weeks.

My daughters and I had it and it was awful. The sores can itch, but for me they were more painful than itchy. My hands felt like I had shards of glass in them. And since it is a virus, it needs to run its very long course and there is no treatment for it. It is also highly contagious so keep your little one away from others especially babies and children. Treat the fever like you normally would with Tylenol and/or ibuprofen.

Unfortunately it’s a virus that has to run its course. Once her fever is gone, it’s no longer contagious. I would say maybe a week until the rash clears up.
