Bleeding every two weeks

Husband and I have been ttc for about 7 months with no luck 😓 For the last three months, I’ve started spotting about 7 dpo and continued to spot until my period began (which lasts about a week); so I’m literally bleeding two weeks on and two weeks off. My last period was horrible, extremely heavy bleeding and cramps lasting almost a week. Has anyone had a similar experience they’d be willing to share?
