Postpartum Anxiety
Had my first child about a week ago and I cannot sleep at night for fear she isn’t breathing. I researched quite a bit before she came but I didn’t research SIDS much since it was amplifying my stress. Reading horror story after horror story has now made it where I can’t sleep. Now that she is here, I wake up about every 10 minutes to see is she is breathing and the same happens when I try to sleep during the day when she naps. Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can go to get good information or anyway I can calm these fears so I can sleep? I am going on about 2 hours a night and I know it is impacting my milk. I was thinking about emailing my pediatrician, but would love to hear from other mothers. Thank you!
