Diva cups?

So I recently purchased a diva cup and I honestly loved it so much at first.. given that my first two days are my lightest... but as soon as I tried it on my third day (my heaviest day) I instantly regretted it.  TMI but it overflowed and I ruined a perfectly good pair of undies and I had to empty out 3 times that day.  I was at work and luckily we have a feminine hygiene kit in our office, so a pad came to the rescue to stop any further damage while I was a work. 
How do you guys feel about Diva Cups and is there a different brand that people have had better luck with on heavy days.

Frankly this is part of the learning curve. On my heavy day, I empty it every 3-4 hours to avoid leaks and overflow. No big deal. Too often people focus on the “you can wear a diva Cup for 12 hours” stuff when in reality that has a big asterisk by it. How long you can wear it between emptying it depends entirely on your flow. I wear period panties from Dear Kate’s as a backup on my heavy day. They will contain a leak if I can’t get to the bathroom immediately.

They usually don't do that I don't have the diva cup though I have the Lena if your periods are that heavy you might like the super Jennie which hold 50 ml of fluids were as most only hold up to 30 ml

It definitely depends on the size of the cup. On heavy days, it's a little harder, maybe using pads until you adjust and know for sure how heavy your flow that day.
Lunette cups have worked for me.

You will get used to knowing your flow and how often you need to clean it out!! If you don’t have a private place you can clean it so it doesn’t overflow at work on your heavy days, I suggest wearing a tampon or something else just for that day.

I used the diva cup for about 3 years and loved it. Never had any issues with leaking. I did overflow once because I forgot i was on my period and left it in for 24 hours but it still didn’t leak it was just a complete murder scene taking out. I just recently switched to the lunette which is so much more comfortable since my cervix seems to be a little lower then the diva cup allows room for. You’ll get the hang of knowing when to empty. Although my period went from 6 heavy days to 2 light days once switching so maybe the cup will lighten yours too.
