Sex without Endo pain?

Question

I would really like it if there was a way to have sex with my husband without being in pain and discomfort for a couple of hours afterward. Does anyone have this problem and know of a way to prevent it (other than abstinence) or to ease the discomfort?

I know all too well how horrid pain during intercourse is. What I found that helped, was to be on the bottom in missionary when the pain is so bad that you can't enjoy it. It stops them from being able to go too deep so they don't hit your cervix. A hot bath really helped me relax so my muscles weren't so tense when we started. 
But that doesn't stop the vaginal muscles from spasming. When I was really bad, my doctor gave me a small dose of muscle relaxants (5mg diazepam). It helped me relax, and it stopped my cervix and vagina from tightening too much and causing cramps. An orgasm will also set off a chain reaction of muscles contracting and making you cramp up. 
The best advice I ever got, was that if I'd taken the muscle relaxants at least 30 minutes before penetration and if I was on the bottom to prevent him going too deep, but was still getting pain, then I should just stop, take a few deep breaths, relax, then try again if still in the mood. 
If you have an understanding partner, I'm sure he will have no problem with you needing to stop due to pain. There are other ways to please him. But if you're cramping during sex, avoid orgasm if you can. 
I know it's not ideal, and I completely understand what you're experiencing. But if you're getting this kind of pain, it usually means that you need a laparoscopy to see what's going on and to remove any lesions that could be causing it.

This isn't exactly great advice, but it's what helped me.

I can't seem to have sex during my fertile period (so counter-productive) because everything feels so sensitive and painful. I take Advil half an hour before it might happen, a large dose. Spontaneous sex just doesn't happen anymore because I felt like I was getting impaled, and then would have a tender abdomen for 2 days afterwards. Also, need a LOT of foreplay.

Lots of lube and I could only do it with him on top. Any other position I would be in tears during and after. Which left my so and me feeling horrible.

I had this problem for close to 4 years, what I did was use lots of lube, stay away from certain positions, hot bath afterwards, and lastly now this was just me I'd always ask if it could be a quickie! If he felt it'd be longer I would have to pass, but if he knew it'd be and in and out thing then I would just suck the pain up and do it. And others are different but that's what worked for us! I'm sorry you're going through this, prayers!
