Invisalign or Braces? Which is better

I don’t have dental insurance so i would pay out of pocket, but which would u recommend

braces are not faster than invisalign. and they hurt a hell of a lot more. i dont have invisalign but i did do smile direct club which is basically off brand invisalign that you don’t need to go to the dentist for, and my teeth went from so awful to straight in just 5 months. these did hurt pretty bad when i first put them in (especially my bottom teeth bc of how my baby teeth fell out) but they worked so so quickly and easily. plus it is a whole lot cheaper. i think my mom paid less than 2k for them

Okay so at the time i was in high school i had braces. Well my parents paid for the braces i had. They told me those bitches cost a grip. like almost 8 to 10 grand. So i once i got dem hoes off i realize that someone told me about invisl....i dont know how to spell but you catch my drift. They told me that Invislign is cheaper than braces. So idk but i also realize over the years that my teeth was shifting that i had to put a mouth gard in ANYWAY. Like literally i felt like i wasted my parents time and money for my braces.Smh thats up to you on how you want to spend yo money on fixing your teeth. GOOD LUCK!

Isvisalign does seem to work faster, and now that it's been around for a while it's about the same price as braces, maybe slightly more expensive. The only thing is braces are more effective if you need more complex work, like rotating teeth, pulling them down, bridge work etc. If your case is just relatively straightforward, invisalign  would probably be better for you

Idk how anyone thinks metal braces are faster.. I had them for about 2 years (got them on sometime in 6th grade and off at the end of 8th, so give or take time) and my friend works in a dental office so she just did Invisalign and it took less than a year and her teeth were worse than mine had been. But when I got braces I also spent a few months with some metal thing with a key in the roof of my mouth that had to spread my jaw a little wider, so that definitely added time most people don’t have.

Why in the world does everyone think braces are faster?
 My sister had metal braces for three years and only got them because at the time Invisalign was new and more expensive. If she got Invisalign it would have been about 15 months because her teeth were really messed up. 
I had Invisalign for 9 months and it would have been 1 1/2yrs with traditional metal braces.
Everyone I've know that had braces has had them for several years, I've never know anyone to use Invisalign longer than 1 1/2 years. 
These days sometimes Invisalign is even cheaper and with SmileDirect you don't even have to go to the orthodontist as often. 
You can take them out to eat unlike braces. They don't etch your teeth and poke your gums or cut your tongue like braces do.

So I had Braces first for a year and a half. Something went wrong and I had to get invisalign. My teeth were perfect in 9 months. 🤩 it was around 4k for me.

Braces. I feel like they work well fast and they’re cheaper. 
You could always look into ceramic braces if you rather not see all that metal in your mouth! I had metal braces first and now I’m getting ceramic braces next month.
